The Teacher's Path: Raising up voices in the wilderness

A RETREAT BY BURNT FORK RANCH

MissioN

__________

To teach not only what it means to preach, but what it truly takes—spiritually, personally, and relationally. This intensive journey spans the summer season and includes two in-person retreats (fall and spring), assigned reading and homework, and monthly virtual meetings. Participants will engage deeply with the concepts, responsibilities, and consequences of preaching, while also gaining practical skills in biblical study, theological reflection, and the craft of preaching

Statement of faith

__________

▶︎ We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, perfect in holiness, love, power, and truth.

▶︎ We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully man without ceasing to be fully God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will one day return in power and glory to reign forever.

▶︎ We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all believers, convicting, guiding, teaching, empowering, and transforming them to live godly lives in obedience to Christ and in service to others.

▶︎ We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, revealing His character, His will for humanity, and the only reliable guide for faith and life.

▶︎ We believe that all people are created in the image of God but separated from Him by sin. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone—not by works—resulting in forgiveness, new life, and eternal fellowship with God.

▶︎ We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, called to love God, love people, make disciples, and proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth.

▶︎ We believe in the resurrection of the dead: the saved to everlasting life and joy in the presence of God, and the lost to everlasting separation from Him.

▶︎ All we do is for the glory of God, the advancement of His Kingdom, and the hope of redemption through Jesus Christ our Lord.
